Basketball  Atari1982CX-5219. 2 Prototypes exist. The last of which is dated 1982-11-05. There is a later [game=#20278]Realsports Basketball prototype[/game] with a different basketball game. This entry is about the earlier attempt that looks different from the [game=#99705]the Atari 2600 version[/game]. It also has a bug that causes it to freeze at the end of the 1st quarter.

This is an actual a 4 players game. 2 players can not use a 2-port machine because of a bug that causes 2 player modes to use ports 2 and 3 (instead of 1 & 2). The game options are 1 player vs computer (using port 1). player vs player (ports 2 & 3), 2 players vs 2 computers (ports 2 & 3), 2 players vs a player & a computer (ports 1, 2 & 3), and 4 player free-for-all (ports 1–4). The 2 players against the computer and 3 players modes are a bit of an oddity for a game of this era.

Alan Miller originally began programming a 5200 version of the 2600 game. After he left Atari, the 2 year old task was assigned to Patrick Bass. After some initial work Bass began doing his own version.[spoiler= ; ][/spoiler]

Gorf CBS Electronics19834L-2711. Rarity 3 scarce. North America NTSC. 1 player or 2 players alternating. Only one controller in port 1 is required and the players take turns with it.
The [game=Space Invaders]Space Invaders[/game] concept fully developed. First, defend the earth under a shield. Then fight the alien ships in space. Next, chase them into a wormhole for more shooting. Finally, confront the mother ship protected by the same shield technology (apparently stolen) used to defend the earth. This version, like all home versions, has only 4 levels instead of the 5 included in the [game=#86]arcade version[/game]. The [game=#76]Galaxian[/game] level is missing due to intellectual property egest.

Meteorites  Electra Concepts1983Rarity 8 very rare+. North America NTSC. 1 player or 2 players alternating. Both players take turns using one controller plugged into port 1.
This game may be rarer than [game=#20221]Bounty Bob Strikes Back[/game]. Disasteroids was designed to fill the gap where Atari announced [game=#20327]Asteroids[/game] as a [gametag=launchtitle]launch title[/gametag] but then canceled it. But Atari pressured Electra Concepts to use a different name. It is a direct clone of its contemporary, right down to the 8-bit physics that allow aster-uh-meteorites to be broken in to smaller and smaller pieces till they disappear. And in a tight spot you can jump into hype-ah-subsp-also-taken-eehh-EUCLIDEARSPACE, and appear at some random point on the screen.
[Zerothis]***METEORITES OFFERS
* New levels of superior game play capability from full 12k programming
* 24 progressive game skill levels
* True arcade action/control
* Exciting new challenges for beginner and advanced players
* One or two player mode

Wizard of Wor CBS Electronics19834L 2713. Rarity 3 scarce. North America NTSC. 1 player or 2 player simultaneous dynamically competitive or cooperative play.
Based on the [[gameid:1197 Arcade game]]. This version does not have voice. Quite comparable to the [[gameid:99810 2600 version]] except for flicker free graphics and background music. There are two levels, "Arena" and "Worlord", that will show up more often; but the rest of the levels are randomly generated. There are many enemies; they will all shoot at you. The blue ones are slowest, there are yellow ones, and the red ones are really quick and can become invisible. Fortunately, they still show up on radar. When a level is completed, the Worluck will frantically flap around the screen. If either player manages to shoot it, then all points scored during that level are doubled. Sometime the wizard will materialize long enough to shoot at you then vanish just as quickly. He does not show up on radar when invisible. All enemies can leave your line of sight and hide in the maze, but not from radar. Players are free to shoot each other but cooperation is the best way to defeat enemies.

Story:
The antagonist is a cybernetic magician bent on proving magic is superior to technology (yet he's a cyborg, ironically realistic behavior for a psychopath bent on world domination). The protagonists are armed with lasers and sent into the madman's lair. The wizard seals them in, so they can never leave. The must fight their way through the wizard's magical constructs, Dragons, Tyrannosaurus Rex, Giant Scorpions, and an Insectoid creature. Should the players be able to 'kill' the wizard, they find that he's able to come back to life somehow and the process repeats.

Controls:
Like all other versions of [[game:Wizard of Wor]], the 1st player uses the right controller and the 2nd uses the left. On the 5200, this means player 1 must use the 2nd port and player 2 uses the 1st.
The overlay that comes with this game consists only of a "Worriors" button for the * key and a "1-2 Players" button for the # key.
